Wednesday Senior Club Night
From 6pm every Wednesday we host organised social play - whether you play interclub every week, play casually with your friends and family, or are just picking up a tennis racquet after a decade away from the game - Wednesday nights are for EVERYONE.

For non-members - your first visit is FREE!
5 Visit Card: Unsure whether to join for the full year? Come along and try us out with a 5 Visit Card - available to purchase for $50 from behind the bar on the night.
Wednesday Club Night Meals
Throughout the Summer Months we provide dinner for $15pp - a basic yet delicious meal of meat/protein and salad/vegies - so you can refuel after playing a few rounds of Social Night tennis.
Dinner is typically organised for 8pm and provided by the members on Duty.
Midweek Ladies Thursday
From 9.15am every Thursday pop along to join in with the fun on court for Midweek Social Play followed by a delicious morning tea.

Juniors Friday Night
From 5-6pm every Friday during term time all juniors are welcome to come along to our Junior Club Night. Coaching is provided for the younger juniors, while matchplay is on offer for the older kids. Bringing a friend along each week is welcomed and encouraged!

For non-members - your first visit is FREE - and then future visits are only $10 per week.
Friday Night Competitive Tennis (interclub level players)
From 6-7pm every Friday for a three month period from September to November we will host coaching and competitive play. Drills and strategic doubles tactics will be provided on the coaching courts - while competitive doubles contests are organised on our other courts. There will always be one competitive singles challenge contested each week to determine who is on top of the 'ladder' by the end of the season.
The bar will be open afterwards - and we have the facilities available to still shower and get ready for a good Friday night out after tennis.
For members - $10pp/half hour of coaching - if you are lucky enough to get the hour slot it is only $15
Non-members - $15pp/half hour of coaching

We have a great range of players at all levels and ages.
Members enjoy: 7 Floodlit Courts of which 2 are hardcourt; the Best Views in Auckland; a friendly social atmosphere; great clubrooms & bar facilities.
Senior Interclub
While we may not host the top level interclub grades we are extremely proud of the teams we enter each season. Orakei is considered fair, competitive and enthusiastic - we host a bar upstairs and boast some of the best foodies around the Bays - and beware we are so welcoming many previous competitors have switched sides and have joined our ranks!
Senior interclub consists of home & away matches every second Saturday from midday (approx Sept - early Dec & Feb - April)
Mens and Ladies Open - 4 individual players with one singles and one doubles each
Mixed Doubles Open - 2 ladies and 2 men with one doubles and one mixed doubles each (aged 30 years plus)
Super Mens and Ladies Open - 4 individual players where you play a doubles match to 8 games with each of your other team members.
We traditionally enter multiple Mens and Womens Open Singles teams, multiple Super teams, along with Mixed Doubles, yet we are always looking for new talent to join us!

We enter several junior interclub teams each year in term 1 and 4.
Midweek tennis
Midweek members are entitled to use the courts Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. All midweek members are invited to our Club's social and fun tournaments and events which may take place during weekends or weekday evenings.
Orakei Midweek Tennis has never been so popular as it is right now! It is exciting, friendly and enjoyable tennis.
We provide novice sessions, back to tennis sessions, play days, fun tournaments, Club Champs during Term 1 and indoor/outdoor interclub teams. We have at least one fun event each term.
All visitors can have a free visits at our Thursday morning social play, we also have a 5 Visit Card which you can purchase 5 visits before officially joining the Club.
Organised tennis at Orakei is scheduled on Thursday from 9:15am to noon. We have a strong presence in midweek interclub with teams playing summer and winter across several different grades and days.
