Referee on the Premises

Congratulations to Blayne Newton who recently attended a two day referee’s course and passed an exam. Blayne will now be honing his skills as an assistant referee at junior tournaments during the school holidays and we may see him at Stanley St soon. 

For anyone interested, there is a half day course for line people coming up in September at Stanley St. Please let Blayne know if you are interested in attending with him.

So any questions about the rules or disputes on court - see Blayne!

Club Room Renovations

Our architect will shortly commence work on the detailed drawings which are required for building consent and then lead into the process of getting builders quotes. We will keep you informed as things progress.

If you have knowledge and/or skills relating to building or renovation work or you are interested in participating in our fundraising efforts please let me know. We would appreciate your help

60th Jubilee Celebrations

November 8th - 10th saw 3 days of events at the club to celebrate the 60th anniversary year!  This started on Thursday morning with a very successful Midweek party where there was an exhibition match from Carl Limberger, the club coach.  The Juniors then had a fun tournament on the Friday evening, and then finally Saturday night saw the clubhouse transformed into ‘Aces Casino’ for the Anniversary party!

After a week’s postponement due to bad weather the Don Murdoch Tournament took place on Sunday 5th November in fine and warm conditions.
